My Morning SUPER SMOOTHIE

What could be better than starting off your day with a super healthy green smoothie?! There are so many amazing superfoods out there that can give us an amazing amount of benefits to our bodies and I think the easiest way to consume them is by combining them into a smoothie! This is the smoothie I love to have for breakfast after a good workout, it is packed with nutrients, giving me the energy I need to start my day right! <3

INGREDIENTS

  1. Handful of Kale
  2. Handful of Spinach
  3. 1/2 Avocado
  4. 1/2 Banana
  5. 1 tabelspoon Flax Seeds
  6. 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds
  7. 1 tablespoon Almond Butter
  8. 2 cups Unsweetened Almond Milk
  9. 1 serving Vanilla Protein Powder
  10. 4-5 ice cubes (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend to the desired consistency.

KALE

Kale contains fiber, antioxidants, calcium, vitamins C and K, iron and other nutrients that can help prevent various health problems!

SPINACH 

A source of vitamins K, A and C, folate as well as being a good source of manganese, magnesium, iron and vitamin B2. Vitamin K is important for maintaining bone health and it’s difficult to find vegetables richer in vitamin K than spinach!

AVOCADO

Avocado is rich in many nutrients, including fiber, vitamins, minerals and healthy fats. Eating avocado may reduce your risk of heart disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and certain types of cancer!

BANANA

Bananas are one of the best fruit sources of vitamin B6. They are a great source of potassium which is good for your heart health and blood pressure! They are also good for your digestion and can help with constipation or heartburn plus Managnese in bananas is good for your skin!

FLAX SEEDS

Flax seeds are high in omega-3 fats and are a great source of fiber and lignans, which may reduce cancer risk. Flax seeds also contain high-quality protein and are rich in dietary fiber. They can also lower your blood pressure and improve cholesterol!

CHIA SEEDS

Chia seeds are packed with minerals and vitamins! and contain a lot of antioxidants that may help prevent aging and diseases like cancer. Chia seeds are also a significant source of calcium, which is very important to a well-balanced diet.

ALMOND BUTTER

Almond butter is made from almonds, so it contains healthy fats, protein and minerals. Almonds are also good for your brain! They can especially be beneficial for the elderly, keeping their brains sharp and protecting against age-related disorders like Alzheimer’s and dementia.

UNSWEETENED ALMOND MILK

Low in calories, low in sugar, contains vitamin E, which is good for your skin. Almond milk is dairy-free, making it a great option for vegans or those who are intolerant to dairy.
